As bad as 2009 was for Mets fans, it seems like 2010 was even worse. I don’t know why I say that. The numbers are pretty comparable but I just seem to remember being way more miserable in 2010. They did manage to send 2 franchise favorites to the Mid-Summer Classic that year.

Hmmm… Did Topps know something we didn’t in 2010? Coming off an injury shortened 2009 season, Jose had a fine year. Not great. Not excellent. Not Jose Reyes-like. Just fine. Although he was named to the All-Star team, he did not see any game action.

Wright was once more the starting third baseman for the N.L. crew. This was his fifth consecutive All-Star team. He went 2 for 2 with a stolen base in 4 1/2 innings of work.
