Bonus Fact of the Week, No. 10

In an effort to get my readers to learn a little something about something other than baseball cards, which is after all, a little children’s pursuit and a colossal waste of time, I present to you this Bonus Fact of the Week.
Taking a break from the Wills’s Do You Know series, this card comes to use courtesy of Eric at Manupatches & Mustaches. It was a throw in with a trade that we had worked out and he specifically suggested that it could be part of the Bonus Fact of the Week series, and so it shall be. It is from a set of British tobacco cards put out by John Player & Sons in 1937.

As an auto tech for a living and a very serious card collector, I can really appreciate that card. Very cool !
That looks like a real thick vellum. Is the front just aged or is it the paper?
