Well I’ll Be a Monkey’s Uncle

Congrats to the Giants on defeating the Phillies, winning the National League Championship and moving on to face the Rangers in the World Series.
When this post season started, my main wish was to not see a New York Yankees / Philadelphia Phillies World Series. I would of settled for either team making it to the World Series, so long as it wasn’t both, and preferable either of those teams didn’t actually win it. Thanks to the Texas Rangers and the San Francisco Giants, I don’t have to see the Yanks of Phils again for another 6 months or so.
After watching the first game or 2 of the ALCS, it became pretty clear to me that the Rangers were going to win that series. They just looked so much better than the Yankees in every aspect of the game. The Giants, however, I really was not expecting to be able to win against them Phightin’ Phil’s. I just didn’t think they would be able to overcome the 1-2-3 punch of Roy, Roy and Cole, as well as the grinding line-up that Charlie Manuel runs out there every night. As impressive as the Rangers win over the Yankees was, I have to say that the Giants win was just a tad more impressive, just because I didn’t think they could actually pull it off. Kudos to you, San Francisco.
Now that the Worlds Series will be starting in a few days, I will continue to root for my new found favorite team the Rangers, but I will miss watching the games with that intense hatred for the other team. Oh well.
