On The First Day of Christmas…
December 14th, 2010 by slangon

Traditionally speaking, at least everywhere else in the world that celebrates the holiday, the Twelve Days of Christmas begin Christmas Day. This period is also known as Christmastide. The Twelfth Day of Christmas is 5 January, with the celebrations of Christmas traditionally ending on Twelfth Night and is followed by the Feast of the Epiphany on 6 January. Bet you didn’t know that. That’s because in America, the marketing powers that be have taught us to believe that the 12 Days of Christmas are the days leading up to Christmas.

Well, damn the rest of the world. I’m an American. So in the spirit of the quickly approaching holidays as well as the end of another year as well as the fact that I decorated the blog for the holidays, I thought I would take this opportunity to look back on some of the cool cards that have swelled the ranks of my collection over the last 365 days.

On the First Day of Christmas my collection gave to me

A Red from Cincinnati.
