Amelia Mary Earhart (b. July 24, 1897, last heard from July 2, 1937), Aviatrix: First female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic. Disappeared during an attempt to circumnavigate the globe with her navigator Fred Noonan. Her last known location was near Nukumanu Island.
