Mets Through the Years: The All-Star(s), 1978
July 10th, 2012 by slangon

By 1978, the Mets were firmly entrenched in some pretty dark days, so there weren’t too many All-Star highlights to speak of.

Pat Zachry was the Mets lone representative at the 1978 All-Star Game. He, of course came over in the notorious Midnight Massacre that sent Tom Seaver to Cincinnati. He had a fine year in ’78, going 10-6 with a 3.33 ERA. Nice, but hardly All-Star caliber. He didn’t even have his All-Star caliber beard yet.
