The Big Day Has Finally Arrived
February 5th, 2012 by slangon

This is it, folks. Super Bowl Sunday. Right up there with Christmas and The 4th of July and Thanksgiving as the Greatest of All American Holidays. Plus it’s acceptable (at least in my mind) to start drinking beer before noon.

My Boys in Blue have pulled themselves within 1 win of the whole shebang. Honestly, if you had asked me back around Thanksgiving if I thought the Giants would be playing in the Super Bowl, I would’ve said you’re nuts. They sputtered pretty badly during that middle stretch of the season, at one point dropping 5 out of 6, but they turned it up when it counted. They were facing elimination in both of their final 2 regular season games, but managed to win both, followed by some very impressive playoff football.

Of course, now that they made it to the Super Bowl, it almost feels as though none of that will matter if they can’t win today. To help my boys out throughout the playoffs, I’ve been posting some Giants cards from my collection to bring them some luck. So far, it seems to have been working, so why not keep it going?

Since today is such a huge game, I’m bringing out one of the most bad-ass dudes to every play for the Giants.
