Well, I’m Satisfied.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Cardinals staged a pretty damn dramatic comeback last night against the Rangers to force the 2011 Fall Classic to go a full 7 games. The action was highlighted by a 2-out, bottom of the 9th triple by David Freese to drive in the tying runs and send the game into extra innings. The Great Ham-bino homered in the 10th to the give Texas a 2 run lead lead, but them pesky Red Birds dinked and dunked their way to 2 runs to tie it up again and send it to the 11th. David Freese once again played the hero by hitting a homer of his own to send St. Louis fans home happy for at least one more day. Although I am still rooting for the Rangers to win their first World Championship, you’ve got to feel pretty good for a guy like Freese, who apparently grew up a Cardinals fan. Can you imagine rooting for a team your whole life and then getting a chance to do those things in the World Series for them? Pretty awesome.
Anyway, tonight is it. Game 7. One way or another, that’s it for baseball until pitchers and catchers. Someone’s going home crying and someone’s going home looking like this.
