Is That World Series Thing Still Happening?

I’ve been pretty bad about watching the World Series so far this year. I’ve been trying. I really have. Both games so far I’ve suffered through the terrible Fox pre-game show and started watch, and both games I’ve ended up flipping around during the game until I just eventually stopped checking in. I really don’t understand it either. Last year, it was the Rangers and the Giants, which are 2 teams that I don’t normally give a crap about and I was glued to the TV all 5 games.

I must say that so far I am very surprised to see such low scoring games. I knew that both team had some decent pitching (or else they wouldn’t be in the World Series) but I figured with all the

there would’ve been more than 8 runs scored in the 2 games by both teams combined. Oh well. Maybe a change of scenery to the Ballpark at Arlington will lead to some more fireworks. I guess we’ll see tonight in Game 3.

And if you’re wondering, apparently I used up all the Game 3 cards that I have in last years Game 3 wrap up post and I haven’t gotten any new ones. In the mean time, you’ll have to look at this 1971 Fleer Laughlin World Series card of Cy Young. Hey, it’s got the words “World Series” and the number “3” on it, ain’t it?
