That Was Fascinating.

I’ve never given much thought to Panini. Not that I have anything against them. I just never gave them much thought. I think I might’ve inadvertently picked up a pack or two of their cards here and there. I kind of remember them being cool, but who knows. On their official blog today, though, there was a video that I’ve been waiting forever for someone to make.

They have a time-lapse video of the making of a relic card, from start to finish. Fascinating.

Just because they posted that video, I might buy another pack of their cards someday.

  1. i collected their world cup stickers – the only world cup collectible i could find easily! (and actually, it wasn’t that easy to find them!)

  2. Thanks for the kind words on the Bear Bryant video, man. Glad you enjoyed it.

  3. Ever since I got back into the hobby a few years ago, I have been dying to know the actual production process of making relic cards. As a matter of fact, a while back I wanted to do a post about it and went so far as to try and contact people at Topps and Upper Deck to see if they’d answer my questions, but neither got back to me. I guess I should’ve contacted Panini.
