Remember Trades?
January 17th, 2011 by slangon
I barely do. It seems like it’s been 1,000,000 years since I made one. I recently did however, with a reader by the name of Matt. I sent a handful of 2010 Allen & Ginter cards that I had laying around collecting dust, and he sent me some cards from that same set that I still needed.
Here’s a couple of base cards that I got.
The first card very serious looking, recently retired all-time saves leader (at least for now) being surrounded by a sinister looking green cloud.
Next up is Area 51. Maybe the scientists there can help Trevor out with his nebulous green blob problem.
The next 2 I was particularly excited for, just because who doesn’t love dinosaurs?
It’s pretty funny that whoever discovered it decided to call this dinosaur a bambi raptor. Apparently, it was indeed named after the Disney character since it’s only a foot tall. I wonder if they had to clear that with Disney’s legal department.
Another thing I love about this trade, aside from getting some cool cards, is that I got rid of more cards than I got back, which at this point in my collecting is a very welcome thing. Thanks again, Matt.
Sent you an e-mail a while back, I’ve got some Ginter you need.
Shoot me an e-mail when you get a chance.
Thanks,
Greg

Sent you an email as well, have Ginter and a bunch of Mets to fill your lists.
