Gint-A-Cuffs: Rounds 19-20
July 21st, 2010 by slangon

Here we go again. Getting down to the wire.

Pack 19

#277 Regis Philbin (I don’t know why, but I’m sort of glad to have a Regis Philbin card.)

#124 Andrew McCutchen

#34 Delmon Young

#186 Jose Reyes (+1 for being a member of my favorite team, although the Mets are skating on thin ice with me these days)

#AGA-RT Ron Teasley Autograph (Negro Leaguer) (+2 for being a Negro Leaguer +15 for being Autographed = +17)

#243 Jim Zapp (Negro Leaguer) Mini A&G Back (+2 for being another Negro Leaguer +2 for being an A&G backed Mini = +4) You gotta love getting back to back Negro Leaguers.

#TDH46 Yovani Gallardo This Day in History (+1 for being This Day in History)

Pack 20

#231 Travis Snider

#151 Kanekoa Texeira RC

#53 Jason Heyward RC (+2 for being loved by someone other than his mom)

#5 Edwin Jackson

#221 Mike Leake RC

#326 Aaron Rowand SP (+2 for there not being as many of him)

#35 John Lackey Mini Regular Back (Do I get extra points since apparently Regular Back Mini’s are the new impossible pulls?)

#TDH37 Ichiro This Day in History (+1 for being This Day in History)

Well, there goes my third and final hit, and it is by far the best hit of the box. Not that my other 2 hits were terrible. I certainly love the Dale Davis Autograph (or at least I will once I get it. I hear Topps is pretty notorious with their redemptions). I even like the Robinson Cano Relic, even though it cost me points. Still, as far as I’m concerned, you really can’t beat a Negro League autograph. That was actually a pretty good round points wise. Maybe this box won’t be as bad as I was anticipating. I haven’t seen too many other Gint-A-Cuffs participants post their box totals yet, but considering that the 2 that I have seen so far are over 200 points, I still very much doubt that this box is going to do me any good.

Pack 19 Total: 23
Pack 20 Total: 5
Box Total to Date: 151

  1. I only had 174 points, so you can pass me.
