The Official It’s Time for Cy to Say Goodbye Contest
January 25th, 2010 by slangon

As some you you may recall, a while back, I was lucky enough to be appointed caretaker of an original T206 Cy Seymour card. The one stipulation was that after a month, I had to send Cy on to some other lucky person for a month long visit. Well, that time is fast approaching, so get on your thinking caps and let’s find Cy a new home (for a month).

I’m going to run a Super Bowl pool. Not one of them you-get-2-numbers-and-if-thats-the-score-you-win pools, but one of them make-a-bunch-of-predictions-as-to-whats-going-to-happen-during-the-game pools. I have a questionnaire prepared, which you will fill out and return to me. You get a certain number of points for each question predicted correctly, and whoever has the highest tally at the end of the night will be the winner and supreme champion of the universe.

Here are the questions:

Tiebreaker: Total combined points scored by both teams. (Closest wins- It doesn’t matter if you go over or not) ____________

Now, as per the rules set down by Carl Crawford Cards, who initiated Cy’s world travel, you need to a member in good standing of the blog-ocracy in order to baby sit Cy so that after a month, you can give him away again. I know that seems crappy for my non-blogging readers, so here’s what I’m going to do: aside from getting to hang out with little Cy for a month, I will throw in 2 autographed SlangKo custom cards. Not autographed by me. Autographed by whoever is on the card. If the first place winner happens to have their own blog, they will get Cy and the 2 autographs. If the first place winner does not have a blog, they will win the autographs and whichever blogger has the next highest point total will win Cy. Complicated enough? Good.

Let’s see, the Superbowl is happening on February 7, so I would say to get your forms in by February 6. Just leave a comment so that I know you’re in, but email the actual questions to me at conditionpoor[at]gmail[dot]com. It’ll just be easier for me to keep track of that way. Now, bust out your crystal balls and get to predicting.
