2008 Leaf Certified Materials #231 Mario Manningham JSY RC 516/599
Another Mario Manningham Rookie Relic for the collection, this one being an oversized swatch. This is actually the first oversized swatch in my collection. Honestly, I thought I would be a lot more excited because of that, but I don’t think it’s any cooler than a small swatch. Don’t take that to mean that I’m not into this card, because I am. It’s funny how a plain swatch of any other color is so much better than a plain white swatch.
On the flip side, we can see that this fabric was cut from “Authentic Items personally worn/used by Mario Manningham on 5/17 at the 2008 NFL Players Rookie Premiere”. It just so happens that the other Mario Manningham relic that I own is from the same exact event. I wonder if I just track down every card from this event, can I sew his shirt back together. I’m sure I’m the first card blogger to ever have that idea, too.
